Troula — celebration, in Galician — is handwoven in 100% linen on a traditional loom in Allariz, in the green northwest corner of Spain. The name is an intention: a scarf made not for shelter, but for pleasure. Light and fluid, it moves with you rather than sitting still. Each piece is a limited edition, woven individually, which means no two are exactly alike. The variations are the point.

The Maker

Inés Rodríguez founded RiR & Co. in Allariz — a medieval Galician town in northwest Spain — where she works at a traditional loom using merino wool, linen, silk, and alpaca. The work is rooted in the textile heritage of northern Spain, but Inés doesn't stop there. Her workshop is also a research studio: she has developed hypoallergenic fabrics woven from milk fiber and wool, and created silk-wrapped yarn threaded around optical fiber to produce luminescent textiles. A Gold Medal recipient of the European Textile & Craft Award 2026, she collaborates with universities and gives talks across Spain, returning to the loom each time with the same conviction — that every thread is a decision, and that patience is the material no one lists in the specs.
